Hara Declares: Trust Chakwera’s Vision—Malawi’s Future Is in Our Hands

Dynamic Minister of Transport and Public Works, Jacob Hara, passionately urged citizens to place their trust in President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s

visionary leadership and vote for him once more, pointing to remarkable progress in development and governance reforms.

Hara delivered these persuasive remarks on Thursday at an electrifying political rally in Lilongwe, hosted by the ever-energetic Precious Kabambe, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) shadow MP for Lilongwe City’s Bwaila Constituency.

In his address to eager residents, Hara depicted Chakwera’s leadership as truly transformative—restoring integrity and revitalizing government systems while championing inclusive development across every region. He spotlighted ambitious road infrastructure projects, expanded investment in public education, and impressive strides toward stable food security as shining milestones under MCP’s stewardship.

“Today, Malawians can vividly see the difference: a proactive government busy constructing roads, schools, and health centres, while ensuring affordable fertilizer for our hardworking farmers,” he announced with conviction.

The minister also enthusiastically revealed ambitious plans to broaden the Social Cash Transfer Programme, emphasizing its powerful upliftment of countless rural households.

Hara issued a strong warning against reverting to the dark days of dysfunctional systems and leaders driven purely by self‑interest.

Shadow MP Precious Kabambe reinforced his steadfast commitment to collaborating closely with both the party and the community. He explained that his heartfelt aspiration to serve the constituency springs from a deep desire to bring about meaningful, sustainable change and development.

The stage is now set for Malawians to head to the polls on September 16, with the official campaign period launching on Monday, July 14.
